Why Alumni Network?
It has been my honour, privilege and pleasure to have instructed fantastic students and in many cases better people at both George Brown College and through the University of Continuing Students. For a while now I’ve wrestled with the idea of setting up an Alumni Network through my personal website, and I was finally pushed to action this autumn when two former students – and now friends – were suddenly and unceremoniously let go by their employers, both leading Canadian banks. Both of them are Big Boys and understand that business is business. But it struck me that I could perform a valuable service if I more formally set up an extended network with the commonality being that I was at one time, the Instructor for each individual, and I could personally vouch for their work ethic and personal integrity.
